Our Team at the
                        Arctic Office 2019

Before the new year is approaching, we want to present our team for 2019. As Heike Midleja is on parental leave, Lisa Grosfeld joined our team at the German Arctic Office. She takes over Heikes responsibilities and project management tasks.

Lisa Grosfeld has a scientific background in marine geosciences. She studied at the universities in Bremen, Oldenburg and Gothenburg. Subsequently to her graduation, she participated a course at the University Centre in Svalbard about arctic infrastructures in a changing climate. During her studies, she often got in contact with the Alfred-Wegener-Institute, Helmholtz Centre for polar and marine research. Lastly, she worked as an event manager for the institute in the communication and media section. She was responsible for cooperations with other scientific institutions and networks.

This former experience within polar research aroused her enthusiasm about the arctic regions. Thus, she is looking forward to her new challenges and to engage herself for the future of the Arctic. Additionally, she is working for the network “Association of Polar Early Career Scientists” (APECS). We welcome her to our new team at the Arctic Office!
