The Arctic Office of AWI and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) jointly organized the 21^st Arctic Dialogue in Berlin on 11 May 2023. Central element of the meeting were presentations and discussions focusing on international cooperation in Arctic research. Dr. Nicole Biebow (AWI) presented an overview of AWI´s international research cooperation and Dr. Mirko Scheinert (TU Dresden) introduced the BMBF funded collaborative project GROCE (Greenland Ice Sheet Ocean Interaction). Dr. Nina Döring (Research Institute for Sustainability) and Áslat Holmberg (President of the Saami Council, via video message) provided insight into the cooperation with Indigenous partners. Representatives of the embassies of Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the USA briefly introduced the current and future research priorities of the Arctic States and indicated possible connecting points.
